A person with a special charm, an actor with spiritual fulfillment Sergo Zakariadze was born on July 1, 1909. Some sources write that the birthplace of the future artist is Baku, other sources are inclined to assume that this is the city of Zestafoni, Georgia. The father of the Zakariadze family, Alexander, moved his wife and children to Zestafoni and lived with them until he was twenty-eight years old, it was at this age that the future actor's parent died. Sergo's mother took care and raised the child and her two more children for both parents. In adolescence, Sergo left his native nest to realize his new and rather high goals. A thirteen-year-old boy passed a difficult competitive selection to the Tiflis Drama Studio. At that time, there were about eighty applicants for one place, however, he was not accepted due to his age. And yet Zakariadze insisted on being accepted into the studio as an auditor. The future famous person studied philology at Tbilisi University, having previously graduated from the gymnasium. He took an active part in the sports life of Dynamo Tbilisi - he was listed as a central defender.

Sergo Alexandrovich's theatrical career began in 1926 at Shota Rustaveli's Tiflis Theater as a member of the support group. Two years later, until 1956, he worked at the State Drama Theater of the city of Kutaisi. Later the theater was transferred to Tiflis and renamed to the Tbilisi Academic Theater named after Kote Mardzhanishvili. Zakariadze was a pupil of Sandro Akhmeteli and Marjanishvili. Sergo Zakariadze embodied interesting roles on the stage of the aforementioned creative organizations: David the Builder L.P. Gotua (1946) - played Tsar David, Boris Godunov A.S. Pushkin (1957) - played the role of Shuisky and others. The audience was able to see the cinema with Sergo Zakariadze since 1935. The artist's first tape was The Last Crusaders (1935). The film Father of a Soldier (1964) received the Capitoline Jupiter award and made a great impression on people who watched it outside the USSR. Sergo Zakariadze was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Georgian SSR in 1946 and People's Artist of the USSR in 1958. He was awarded the Stalin and Lenin prizes, orders and medals. He was a deputy of the USSR for two convocations in 1966. The famous artist died on July 12, 1971.
