Born May 25, 1962, Syracuse, New York is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, film and television director.

Goldthwaite embarked on a career as a comedian at an early age and began performing professionally while still in high school at the age of 15. At the Apostle Matthew School in East Syracuse, New York, he met fellow comedian and voice actor Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob SquarePants). They graduated from high school in 1980 and formed an East Syracuse-born comedian troupe called Generic Comics. Earlier in his career, Goldthwaite also worked with Boston-based satirist Martin Olson, who wrote his first two comedy appearances, Share the Warmth (HBO) and Don't Watch This Show (Cinemax).

Goldwaite gained recognition as a stand-up comedian after two concerts in the 1980s recorded for television: An Evening With Bob Goldthwaite - Sharing Warmth! and "Bob Goldthwaite - Is He Really Like This All The Time?" He became known for his unique comedic style, which combines elements of political satire and often bizarre or somewhat uncompromising black comedy.

Goldwaite was performing with Robin Williams at the time, not as a duo of comedians, but just in one show, using the pseudonyms "Jack Cheese" and "Marty Fromage" - both names literally mean "cheese." ... Goldwaite also used the pseudonym Jack Cheese when he starred in Tapeheads; Williams had a cameo as Jerry's mime in Shakes the Clown, directed and written by Goldwaite, and credited as Marty Fromage.

In the fall of 1993, Goldthwaite opened for Nirvana on their North American tour. He also appeared in a promotional video for the band's album In Utero.

Goldwaite has appeared in dozens of films. His most famous role was the role of Zed in the films of the Police Academy series. In the mid-80s he starred in the film Come Out and Play (VHS, 1985) by the group Twisted Sister. In 1985, Goldwaite appeared in the official Twisted Sister video for the songs "Leader of the pack" and "Be Chrool to Your Scuel" from the album Come Out and Play.

In 1992, Goldwaite appeared as a guest co-host on the second episode of The Ben Stiller Show.

Goldthwaite is renowned for its irrepressible temperament and eccentric demeanor. He was remembered by guests of Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1993, throwing furniture and running around the stage set in the audience. He also appeared several times as a guest on various talk shows, as well as in comedy programs, where he behaved in the same way. On May 9, 1994, Goldwaite attended The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where he set fire to his chair. As a result, he was fined $ 2,700 plus the cost of the chair $ 698. Following this incident, he was forced to appear in a public service advertisement about fire safety. The incident later prompted him to appear on The Larry Sanders Show, and also inspired one of the plots of PSA's pseudo-fire safety show on MADtv. He was also in the fifth episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, "Bobcat", "Surprise", the 37th episode, "Anniversary" and an uncredited actor in "Kentucky Nightmare."

One of Goldwaite's most recognizable features is his voice. Goldwaite also appeared as himself in the comedy quiz Bobcat's Big Ass Show (1998). Goldthwaite is also a regular guest on the filming of the later seasons of Hollywood Squares version of Tom Bergeron in 1998.

And on August 26, 2009 he returned as a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show with his old friend Robin Williams, to whom he showed a tattoo on his buttock in the form of an anthropomorphic plate with a mustache and slanting eyes.

Goldthwaite appeared on the September 2010 episode of LA Ink, where shop owner Kat Von D tattooed him with a potato fork on his right shoulder.
