Born July 15, 1967, New York, USA - American special effects specialist, actor, host and co-producer of the MythBusters TV show.
Adam was a child actor: he voiced the characters his father created for Sesame Street. He played the errand boy at Mr. Whipple's store in the Charmine toilet paper ad and also played the drowning boy rescued in the waters in Billy Joel's 1985 video You're Only Human.
Adam has been making his own toys since he could hold a pair of scissors. At one time he worked as a projectionist, animator, graphic designer, carpenter, toy developer, welder, and landscape designer. He used many different materials in his work, such as metal, paper, glass, plastic, rubber, foam, worked with hydraulics, with neon, etc.
Since 1993, Adam has concentrated on the special effects industry.
Also, along with their partner, Jamie Heineman, they played bit parts in the films Darwin Prize and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Adam teaches Advanced Modeling at the San Francisco Academy of Arts. He also finds time to realize himself in creativity. More than 50 exhibitions in San Francisco, New York and other US cities have included his works.
He hosted The Mythbusters with Jamie Heineman.
Adam Savage owns a collection of blaster replicas that Rick Deckard wielded in the film and dreams of making it a fully functional version.
