She was born on October 20, 1923 in the village Tokoldosh of Voroshilovsky (now Alamedinsky) district of Frunzensk region (now Bishkek).
She began her stage activity in the Kyrgyz Youth Theater in 1936 (Frunze).
In 1941-1944 she was an actress of the Przhevalsky and Naryn regional theaters, since 1944 she was an actress of the Kyrgyz Academic Drama Theater.
For the first time she came to the cinema at the age of thirty-five. Baken did not have teacher-professors, her artistic university turned out to be the stage, which she entered at the age of sixteen. Two decades of theatrical years behind her helped her to withstand the test in cinema.
Her first film role was the main one and the title role at the same time: in 1955, the Mosfilm studio shot the picture Saltanat. She was a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Honored Artist of the Kirghiz SSR (1947).
People's Artist of the Kirghiz SSR (1956).
People's Artist of the USSR (1970) .
She passed away on December 30, 1993 in Bishkek.
