Born September 3, 1944 in Moscow.also|Read also about Vsevolod Sanaev. He was admitted to the troupe of the Moscow Sovremennik Theater in 1971 after graduating from the Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin.
Smorchkov's well-known film work was his role in the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" (Nikolai, Antonina's husband) .
He passed away on May 10, 2008 in Moscow. The actor was buried at the Vostryakovskoye cemetery of the capital.
