He started his show business career as a shirt advertising model. Having become a model, the young man became interested in acting and dramatic skills. In 1918, Hamilton got his first role in a silent film. A second work followed in 1923.
In the late 1920s, Neil signed to Paramount and became one of the studio's leading and popular actors. Neil has starred in over two hundred films and TV series, including Monster Family, General Hospital, and Tarzan: The Ape Man and Tarzan and His Girlfriend, based on the novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs. But his most famous role is that of Police Commissioner Gordon in the movie "Batman" and after the television series of the same name.
Neil Hamilton died on September 24, 1984 from complications of asthma.
