Born July 1974 - British film and television director and former storyboard artist.
He executive produced and directed the 2010 film The Rippers, starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. It was his directorial debut.
Cobbler has worked on American television series, filming episodes of House, Edge, and Awakening, and most recently A Beautiful Mind episodes .
The rest of his work includes the 2000 short The Dreamer, where he directed and wrote, and directed the music video Beautiful Inside for singer Louise.
As a storyboard artist, his work includes Trainspotting (1996, directed by Danny Boyle) and The Winter Guest (1997, directorial debut by Alan Rickman) .
In 2015, Sapochnik directed two episodes of the fifth season of Game of Thrones, The Gift and The Harsh House. He returned to film the last two episodes of Game of Thrones season 6, Battle of the Bastards and Winds of Winter. All of these episodes received praise from both critics and viewers. Sapochnik won an Emmy for Best Director in a Drama Series at the 68th Awards for the episode "Battle of the Bastards."
