Born February 18, 1977, Budapest, Hungary - Hungarian director (Jewish by nationality), screenwriter, producer and actor.
From 1989 - 2003 Laszlo Nemesh lived in Paris and studied history, literature, international relations and screenwriting at the university. Since 2001, he started working as assistant directors in Hungary and France. From 2005 - 2007 Laszlo Nemesh worked as an assistant to Bela Tarr in the film "The Man from London". In September 2006, Laszlo moved to New York, where he studied directing at the Tisch School of the Arts. Laszlo Nemesh's short film Counterpart (2008) was presented at film festivals in cities such as Bucharest, Bergamo, Valencia. In September 2008 Laszlo Nemesh becomes a member of the European Film Academy. Since 2011, Laszlo began to think over the script for the film "Son of Saul". Laszlo Nemes received a huge number of awards in 2015 for this particular film. Laszlo Nemesh's father, Andras Eles, is also a director, screenwriter, actor, and playwright.
