June 28, 1883 - January 25, 1952 - American Comedy Actress.
She began her acting career with participation in vaudeville, with performances of which she toured Europe and South Africa. In 1914, she signed with Mac Sunnett's Keystone Studios. She showed herself well there, and after a few years she moved to the studio "MGM". There she met the Broadway star Marie Dressler, with whom she starred in several films. After Dressler's death in 1934, Polly's career began to shake. She began to appear only in low-budget comedies and films of category "B" .
She still managed to attract the attention of directors after the release of the film "Adam's Rib". Unfortunately, this return to big cinema was interrupted by her death from cardiovascular disease on January 25, 1952.
Polly Moran has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6300 Hollywood Boulevard.
