Born May 20, 1961, in the village of North Cornelly, Wales - British actor.
He made his television debut in 1984 in the television series The Mimosa Boys as Alby. In 1985 he appeared in the TV series Doctor Who as "Maldak". Later he starred in the 1989 television series: Knights of God and Great Expectations (based on the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens). In the same year he made his big screen debut in the film War Requiem.
In 1990, he continued to work on television, in the television series Waterfront Beat and Boone. In 1991 he played the role of Will Scarlett in the TV movie Robin Hood. Then he starred in the television series Danger Zone, Scary Angel Kiss, Ghosts and Murphy's Law. He continued his career on the big screen, playing in 1999 the role of Lopakhin in the film The Cherry Orchard, with Charlotte Rampling as Ranevskaya and Alan Bates as Gaev. In 2001 he played the role of the famous Nazi judge Roland Freisler in the HBO film Conspiracy. In 2004 he played the role of Pelagius in the film King Arthur (scenes with Owen were released on the DVD edition of the film). The following year, 2005, he starred in the thriller The Return of Marian.
In 2006 he took part in the series Torchwood (episode "Countryside"). In the same year he starred in the British HBO television movie Tsunami: Aftermath. In 2007, he again turned to the theme of the legends of King Arthur, playing in the film The Last Legion, linking the events of the collapse of the Western Roman Empire with the stories of King Arthur. Since 2011, he has played the role of Ser Allister Thorne in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, an adaptation of the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George Martin.
