She was born on September 10, 1948 in Arundel (Sussex, England, USA) into a middle-class family, and her father was the editor of the National Coal Board magazine. Judy has a younger sister - actress Sally Geeson (born 1950), from whom she has three nephews: Barney, Haley and Christopher. Gison graduated from Corona Stage Academy. She currently resides in Hollywood, California, USA.
Judy began her career as a theater actress in 1957. In 1962, Geeson made her film debut, playing the role of Joan Phipps in the television series Emergency - Ward 10. She starred in 91 films and television series in total.
In 1984-1989, Judy was married to actor Kristoffer Tabori (born 1952).
