February 9, 1914 - April 26, 1970 - American actress, writer and queen of burlesque, whose memoirs have been staged. Actress Jun Havok's sister.
She was born in Seattle, Washington. Possessing many talents, Rose quickly realized that it was impossible to earn a lot by performing only songs and simple dances. Today she is called one of the founders of the theatrical cabaret. This woman raised the striptease genre to the rank of art. Rose Lee ended up making her way to Hollywood.
In 1957 she published a book of her memoirs.
In 1969, Lee was diagnosed with lung cancer. She passed away in 1970 in Los Angeles at the age of 59.
