Born April 20, 1975, Stockholm, Sweden - Swedish screenwriter and director.
Langset began her career as a screenwriter and theater director. In 2004, she directed the production of her own play, The Lovers, starring Noomi Rapace. In 2006 she directed the Swedish-language short film Godkand.
In 2009 she directed her first feature film, Towards Something Beautiful, a film adaptation of one of her plays with Alicia Vikander as Katarina. For this work in 2010, Langset received the Guldbagge Award for Best Screenplay (for the best screenplay), as well as a nomination for best director.
The 2013 comedy-drama Hotell was featured at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival as part of the Contemporary World Cinema program. Alicia Vikander also starred in this film. For this film, Langset was nominated for the 2014 Guldbagge Award for Best Screenplay (Best Screenplay).
Her next film is Euphoria, in which Alicia Vikander co-stars with Eva Green and Charlotte Rampling. This film is the first director's work in English.
