Born 1960 - American film and television director and producer.
Nutter's big break came in 1993 when he began filming episodes of The X-Files. He then went on to shoot pilots and help create the series Space: Far Away, Millennium, Alien City, Dark Angel, Smallville, Without a Trace, Jack and Bobby, Supernatural , "Terminator: Battle for the Future", "The Mentalist" and "Shameless" .
He also directed the episode "Replenishment," the fourth installment of the Under-Arms miniseries, and shared an Emmy Award for Best Director for a Miniseries or Film with other directors of the series. Other highlights include Join the Club, an Emmy-nominated episode of The Sopranos, and the feature-length film Indecent Behavior .
Nutter directed episodes of HBO's Handsome Men, including The Resurrection, The Prince's Bride and the final episode, The End .
In 2008 LG used Nutter's experience as a pilot to campaign for a new line of high definition television "Scarlet", creating a trailer-style clip for a pilot episode on TV.
In 2011, on CBS, David directed the pilot of The Doctor for Rina Mimun.
In 2012, Nutter directed the sixth and seventh episodes of the second season of Game of Thrones. In 2013, he directed the last 2 episodes of the third season, including "Reina from Castamere", with the famous scene from "The Red Wedding" .
Nutter also directed the pilot for The CW's Arrow, based on the Green Arrow character, starring Stephen Amell.
In 2014 David, he returned to HBO's Game of Thrones to film the ninth and tenth episodes of the fifth season. For the tenth episode, he won an Emmy Award for Best Director in a Drama Series.
