Born October 8, 1943, Columbus, Ohio, USA, full name: Robert Lawrence Stein, also known as Bob Stein, is an American writer, actor and producer, author of "horror literature" aimed at children and adolescents.
He is called Stephen King of children's literature. At the moment he has written 489 novellas and collections, of which 175 have been translated into Russian. Screen adaptations of his works are reflected in the TV series "Goosebumps" (1995-1998), "The Nightmare Room" (2001-2002) and "RL Stine's The Haunting Hour "(2010- ...), as well as the movie" Horror "(2015).
Robert Stein's work goes back to the 1960s and 1970s. Stein wrote for magazines and newspapers, worked in a printing house, thus earning a living.
