Born March 26, 1956, Antwerp - Belgian actor.
Studied at Herman Tirlik's studio, from which he graduated in 1980. In the eighties, he worked for some time at the Het Theater van de Derde Wereld in Europa, which was then headed by Tone Brulin.
In 1988 he starred in the film Disappearance by Georg Sluiser, which received positive reviews and several awards.
In the 1990s - 2000s, he was a regular actor in the films of Jos Stelling (The Flying Dutchman, No Trains, No Airplanes, Gas Station, Waiting Room, Darling).
In 2013, he starred in one of the notable roles in Alex van Warmerdam's film "Borgman" ("Trouble Shooter"), which participated in the main competition program of the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, and was also nominated by the Netherlands for the Oscar for Best Picture in a foreign language.
Berwetz was also an avid member of the popular music program Het Swingpaleis.
In February-March 2012 he played in the musical Producers. He also worked at the Antwerpen FM radio station.
