During her career, she won an Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Drama Television Series in 1978, and was nominated nine more times in various categories, the Tony and Drama Desk Theater Awards, and was nominated three times for "Golden Globe" .
She is best known for her starring role in the series Family, which aired from 1976 to 1980.
