Ben's childhood was spent in Sherbourne, where he attended Sherbone Elementary School and Griffin High School at the Church of England. According to Ben, as a child, he did not even think about becoming an actor.
While in high school, Ben played the role of Francis Troy in a school play based on the novel Far From The Madding Crowd by English writer Thomas Hardy.
In 2012, Hardy made his debut at the Playhouse Theater in The Kiss of Judas, in which he played the role of Arthur Wellesley. In 2013, the actor got the role of Peter Beale in the TV series East End. According to the actor himself, for years he watched this series with his family and was a fan of it.
In 2016, Ben Hardy made his big screen debut in Brian Singer's sci-fi action movie X-Men: Apocalypse.
