Born May 21, 1990, Perth, Australia is an Australian actress, screenwriter, producer, model and musician.
When Yasmin was 3 years old, her family moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There, in parallel with her studies at school, Kassim studied ballet, singing and learned to play the piano. In 1996, when Yasmin was 6 years old, Michael Jackson, who came to Kuala Lumpur on his HIStory World Tour, spotted her on the surveillance cameras of one of the hotels. He liked Yasmin so much that he invited her to play the orphan on stage during the performance of the songs "Earth Song" and "Heal The World".
After some time, the Kassim family returned to Australia, where Yasmin began attending St. Hilda's School for Girls. After graduating from it, the girl entered the University of Western Australia, and later graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. In 2013, in her last year at the institute, Yasmin took second place in the Australian stage of the Miss World beauty pageant.
Yasmine began her acting career with a variety of independent Australian films and television series. In 2014, she played a minor role in the TV series Killer Women. She first came to prominence when Yasmin played the role of Shei Dang in the TV series Neighbors.
In 2017, the actress got minor roles in the films Jungle and Nest.
