August 28, 1899 - August 26, 1978 - American actor of French descent, who was nominated for four Academy Awards .
In his youth, he studied philosophy at the Sorbonne, then studied at the Paris Conservatory, played in the theater. His film debut took place in 1920, Boyer's acting roles were romantic characters. In 1929 he comes to Hollywood. In 1932 he played with actress Jean Harlow in the film "Red-haired Woman", after which he left for France.
