Born 25 April 1969, The Hague - Dutch actor, film director and screenwriter.
He graduated from the Netherlands Film School in 1996 and immediately entered the film industry with the 53-minute television film "Dark Light" (Duister Licht). The next TV movie "Suzy Q" brought the director fame abroad.
In 2005, he directed the commercial Schnitzel Paradise, which turned out to be the highest grossing film of the year. The film has been screened at the Berlin Film Festival and the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and has been sold in over 20 countries.
In the same year, Culhoven released the film "Crazy", which brought the director the most awards and a good box office.
Happy Family (n Beetje Verliefd, 2006) was also successful at the box office. However, the film "Winter in Wartime" filmed in 2008 turned out to be higher in fees than all the previous films combined.
