Federico Fellini is an iconic Italian film director and screenwriter. Was born in January 1920 in Rimini (Italy). The Fellini family had many children, which is quite typical for Italians of that time. In addition to Federico, the family had two more children - Maria and Ricardo. From childhood, little Fellini showed creative abilities, was fond of modeling, sculpture, drawing, but the circus made a special impression on him. Even as a kid, he loved to attend local circus performances, which would later affect his work. In his youth, Federico received a classical monastic education, graduated from a Catholic school. Soon, young Fellini moved to central Italy, to Florence, where he received a journalism education, at the same time earning money as a cartoonist in the office of his friend. Until 1938, the future director made a living drawing for Roman newspapers and advertising firms. Since the end of the 30s, he began to actively publish in the anti-fascist edition of "Marcus Aurelius", gains vast experience in writing articles, which in the future will have a positive effect on his scriptwriting career. The first full-length film with Federico Fellini was released in 1950 and was called Variety Lights. One of the main actresses of this tape was Juliet Mazina, who was also the director's wife. But, perhaps, one of the most famous masterpieces of the hand of the great maestro was the film The Road (1954) with the charismatic and courageous Anthony Quinn. The film paid off, having received excellent responses from world film critics and presented Fellini with a well-deserved award - "Oscar" for the best foreign film. But the director's track record doesn't end there, the entire subsequent period from the end of the 50s can be safely described as "golden" in his creative career. Such films as Cabiria Nights, La Dolce Vita, 8 and a half still occupy an honorary leading place in the world cinema library.
