He started acting at a young age, participating in theater festivals in and around Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the prestigious School of Theater, Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993, and also attended Circle School of Theater in New York. A member of the Buffalo Theater Company, Wiseman has appeared on more than fifteen award-winning shows in Los Angeles.
In addition to playing Marshall Flinkman on the main cast of The Spy (2001–2006), which aired for five seasons on ABC, Wiseman co-starred in HBO's Let's Get To Know (Quives; 2013). He also played minor roles in television series such as Alien City (Larry; 1999-2000), Felicity (Earl; 2000) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Dreg; 2000-2001), Moonlight (Steve Balfour; 2007), Awakening (Ed Hawkins; 2012), Perception (Todd Ehrlich; 2013), The Blacklist (Dr. Jeffrey Maynard; 2015) and Scorpio (Ray Spivak; 2015–2016). He has starred in several television films, including The Robinsons of Beverly Hills (1997) and Let's Meet: The Movie (2014), and the video Space Friends (2009) .
