Born September 19, 1976, Los Angeles, California - American television actress, presenter and writer. She is best known for her role as vindictive schemer Samy Brady on NBC's daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, where she starred from January 1993 to October 30, 2014. For this role, Sweeney received six Soap Opera Digest awards, including three awards for Best Villainess of the Daytime Air. She is also well known as the host of The Biggest Loser since 2007. In January 2014, Sweeney, after twenty-one years in the soap, announced that she was leaving Days of Our Lives. After retiring, the role earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 2015.
