Eric Sykes is considered one of the greatest artists and directors of British comedy film and television of the 2nd half of the 20th century. He first gained fame as a screenwriter and actor in the 1950s thanks to his work on the popular radio show Goon Show, in the 60s he became a star of British television, starring in several BBC television comedy films, and with 70s became the star of the first magnitude in British cinema. A characteristic manner of his work is to bring the situation to an extreme degree of comic relief. Filmed with directors Andy Wilson, Ken Annakin, Edward Dmitrik, Alejandro Amenabar, Mike Newell. For 53 years of his film career he played 68 roles (the last 4 - in 2007), wrote scripts for 38 films, and directed 11 films as a director.
