Born July 4, 1975 is an American actor, singer, composer and artist. In 2006, he won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, playing Frankie Valley in the Broadway musical Jersey Boys. Following the award, Tony Young continued his streak of Best Actor wins at the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theater World Awards, becoming the only American actor in history to win four Best Actor awards at the same time when he debuted on Broadway. John Lloyd Young is the lead vocalist for the Recording Industry Association's Grammy-winning Platinum Album, Jersey Boys - Original Cast. For Jersey Boys, Young won a cartoon at world-renowned Sardi's and was named Man of the Week by ABC World News Tonight.

For several months in 2012 and 2013, Young returned to Jersey Boys on Broadway, and in early 2014 he made his London debut with Jersey Boys at the historic Piccadilly Theater. John Lloyd Young recreated his victorious Broadway role for director Clint Eastwood in the 2014 Warner Brothers adaptation of Jersey Boys of the same name.

On November 21, 2013, Barack Obama appointed John Lloyd Young to the Presidential Arts and Humanities Committee. He was sworn in by Judge Elena Kagan at the US Supreme Court.
