Born May 16, 1969 in Buffalo, New York is an American actor, director and producer.

attended Rosemont School of the Holy Child as a child, then Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and then went to Ithaca College Private College in Ithaca, New York. After his graduation, Boryanaz moved to Hollywood, California to pursue an acting career.

David's first acting job can be considered a small appearance in the American sitcom Married ... with Children as Kelly's biker boyfriend. On the advice of his first wife Ingrid Quinn was cast in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In this cult series, he played the mystical Angel, a vampire who had his soul returned. The show was very successful and Boryanaz starred in the spin-off series "Angel", where his character was given the opportunity to develop and focus on his struggle to atone for previously committed sins, for which his soul was returned. He starred in Buffy from 1997 to 1999, and then began acting in Angel until 2004, occasionally appearing as a guest on Buffy.

He landed his first leading role in the 2001 horror film Valentine's Day, opposite Denise Richards and Katherine Heigl. In 2002 he played a small role in the TV movie "Love by Occasion". And in 2003 he appeared in the video of the singer Dido for her hit "White Flag", and also voiced Leon in the video game "Kingdom Hearts", but did not take part in its sequel.

In 2005 he began acting in one of the main roles of the TV series "Bones" with Emily Deschanel. He also starred with Tara Reid in the DVD sequel Raven 4: The Prayer of a Sinner, and appeared in Bloody Reckoning, and in 2006 co-starred with Nick Lasha in the also DVD movie Simple Business.

He is also a producer of several episodes in the TV series Bones (since the third season he has executive produced the series with Emily Deschanel) and Angel. He directed several episodes of the series "Bones" as a director.
