She was born in Ottawa, but later moved to Toronto, where she currently attends the National Ballet School. Her grandfather taught French in Ivory Coast, and her mother grew up between Africa and Spain. Melanie Scrofano loves to travel and considers herself ready for any change.
As a child, Melanie Scrofano wanted to try herself in a variety of professions: an astronaut, a secretary, an athlete. At a certain point, she realized that all these roles can be performed within the framework of a single one: the actress.
Melanie Scrofano appeared in episodes of several television projects until she landed her first notable role as a gangster girl in the series "Mob Stories" .
She played in the project "Baxter" on the Family channel, and also played the role of Rebecca in the melodrama "Being Erica". She can also be seen in the sequel "Saw 6" and the thriller "Nurse 3D", which will premiere in 2012.
