Amanda made her film debut in 1996, playing the role of a driver in the movie "The Bill: Aim". Abbington is also known for roles in such films and television series as: "Duty" (2003, the role of Stacey Ross), "After You Gone Ruen" (2007, the role of Siwon), "All Together Ruen" (2007, the role of Sarah) and "The Ghosts "(2011, the role of Tracy). In 2014, she appeared in the third season of the television series "Sherlock" as Mary, the wife of Dr. Watson, who in turn was played by her de facto husband Martin Freeman. In total, she starred in 45 films and television series.
