He lived in this city for a long time, earning a master's degree in English from New York University. After that, Glen Mazzara worked as a hospital administrator until he moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue a career as a screenwriter. His first major experiences were scripts for the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit television series Detective Nash Bridges. He then joined the TV series The Shield, where he acted as a writer and executive editor for the first season, and was subsequently appointed as a producer. After that, Glen Mazzara worked on several more series as a writer and producer, and in 2010 he wrote the script for the series "Fire" of the television series "The Walking Dead". On May 27, 2011, he spearheaded the creation of the television series after its founder, Frank Darabont, left the project.
