Born June 18, 1947 - American actress.
She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico before gaining national fame as a beauty pageant winner. In the following years, she began working as a singer, and in 1971 she made her debut in the local soap opera The Handmaid. This led her to her own variety show, A Girl Called Yvonne Call, which aired on Puerto Rican television from 1971 to 1975.
In 1974, Call made her big screen debut with a minor singing role in The Godfather II. In 1976, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she studied acting, and then moved to New York to pursue a career in the theater scene. In the early 1990s, Call began her American television career with cameo roles in Wings, Los Angeles Law, NYPD, Chicago Hope, and The Practice. In 1996-97, she had a supporting role in the daytime soap opera The Daring and the Beautiful. In the 2000s, she continued to take on small roles in television and film, and also starred in several projects in Puerto Rico.
Since 2011, Call has had minor roles in the TV series "They Confused in the Maternity Hospital", "Choir" and "Little Wolf". In 2014, she landed her first regular role on American television, the CW sitcom Jane the Virgin.
