August 16, 1949 - March 15, 2014 - American drummer. Best known as the drummer for the rock band The Stooges .
In 1967, Scott formed the Stooges with his brother Ron, James Osterberg and Dave Alexander. The original line-up has released two LPs on Elektra Records. After the line-up changed, the band released their third LP, "Raw Power", and disbanded in 1976.
Scott played with Iggy Pop on his 1978 European tour. He also worked in several bands with Scott Morgan, most notably the Sonic's Rendezvous Band .
Scott also played with the group "Destroy All Monsters" under the alias Dark Carnival. Scott also recorded with Sonny Vincent on all four studio albums. As a member of the group "Devil Dogs", Scott performed at concerts in Europe and the USA.
In 2003, The Stooges reunited and in 2007 released their fourth studio album, The Weirdness.
