Born 1962 - British producer and screenwriter. He was named senior vice president of Warner Bros. November 2000.
He grew up in England. He attended Eton College and Oxford University, where he also co-founded the Oxford Film Foundation.
Wigram also worked for producer Elliott Kastner. After working for several years with Kastner, he eventually became a few low-budget films, with Cassian Elwes.
Wigram has been named senior vice president of Warner Bros. in November 2000. As executive producer of the studio, he was responsible for purchasing the Harry Potter book series for the studio, as well as overseeing eight films. In addition to the Harry Potter films, Wigram has also championed The Three Kings, Charlotte Gray and The Big Haircut .
He later moved from executive producer to freelance. During his tenure, Wigram produced the 2009 hit Sherlock Holmes. Wigram also co-wrote the film's plot. The film is based on a comic strip he also wrote, which conceives the world's greatest detective story for a modern audience. He also produced the sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Play of Shadows. In addition to the Sherlock franchise, Wigram has executive produced the last four Harry Potter films, as well as Augusta Rush and Legends of the Night Watch .

Richie and Wigram are currently working on their fourth film together, Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, due out in July 2016.
He is also the producer of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on the book by J.K. Rowling, due out in November 2016. Wigram was instrumental in realizing the creative possibilities of adapting the book into film.
