Born 4 October 1943 - English film director and television producer.
From 1973 to 1987, Jackson directed documentaries and dramas for BBC TV and Channel 4.
After moving to Hollywood, he shot feature films, the most famous of which was The Bodyguard, which was filmed in 1992, starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.
In 2010, Jackson won an Emmy for his production of the television biopic Temple Grandin. In addition to this award, he also has three British Academy of Film and Television Awards for Best Drama Series and a Directors Guild of America Award for Excellence in Directing Television Films / Mini-Series Films.
