Born November 2, 1972, Brighton, East Sussex, UK - English actress and singer.
The father left the family when Samantha was three years old. Soon the mother of the future actress remarried and the whole family moved to Edinburgh. She has a younger sister, Zoe. After graduation, Samantha studied at the Sylvia Young Theater School, in 1991 she represented Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest .
In 1993 she starred at the West End in the musical Grease. She later returned to the West End stage in 2006, starring as Miss Adelaide in Boys and Dolls at the Picadilly London Theater alongside Patrick Swaze and then Don Johnson.
She was married to Mauro Mantovani and lived at that time in Italy. Now dating Liverpool 1 star Mark Womack. In 2001, they had a son, Benjamin, and in April 2005, a daughter, Lily-Rose.
On August 22, 2009, her father, Noel Janus, at the age of 60, was found hanged in his Brighton bedroom apartment.
