She started performing early on stage. Aycox played the piano and sang at beauty pageants.
Among other things, Aycox played Seal in the television series Dark Angel, cheerleader Minxie Hayes in the horror movie Jeepers Creepers 2, and Stella Vessey in the dramedy Ed. She also starred as Lily Rush's irresponsible sister, Christina, in the television series Detective Rush, and as Private Brenda "Mrs. B" Mitchell in the FX television series Tam. She appeared as Captain Jim Brass's troubled daughter, Ellie, on the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation .
The most prominent role of the demon Mag Masters Aycox played in the cult television series The CW "Supernatural". In the television series Criminal Minds, she portrayed the socialist Amber Canardo, and from 2009 to 2010 she played Jamie Allen, one of the main characters, in the TNT television series Undercover.
