Born March 13, 1960, Chinnor, Oxfordshire, UK - bassist for the Irish rock band U2. Adam Clayton is a British citizen, but has been living in Dublin, Ireland since the age of five, when his family moved to Malahide in 1965. Clayton is widely known for playing bass on songs such as New Year's Day and With or Without You. He has worked on several solo projects throughout his career, such as the theme song for the 1996 film Mission Impossible (with bandmate Larry Mullen Jr.). With U2, Adam Clayton has won 22 Grammy awards.
