Born April 7, 1959, Overland Park, Kansas - American film director, screenwriter, producer, cameraman, and independent film executive.
Early took a great interest in painting and cinematography. In his youth, he was greatly impressed by film critic Manny Farber's book Negative Space (1971). He studied art history at Harvard, dropped out and came to New York to study film. He started as a screenwriter, worked as a cameraman, collaborated with David Lynch, Tim Burton, Wim Wenders, Olivier Assayas.
