Born May 22, 1938, New York, USA - American actor and film director. Richard attended the Graduate School of the Performing Arts and graduated from Northwestern University, where he participated in many plays and attended drama school. Benjamin married actress Paul Prentiss on October 26, 1961. They have two children - a son Ross (born 1974) and a daughter Prentiss (born 1978).
