Born November 30, 1950, England, UK is an American comic book writer and short story writer of British descent.
Chris's father was a therapist and his mother was a pilot, and she also provided catering services. As a child, Clairmont was not keen on comics and preferred to read science fiction works by Robert Heinlein.
Best known for the Uncanny X-Men series by Marvel Comics; in 1991, a spin-off split from this series, and its first issue was X-Men vol. 2 # 1, which Chris co-authored with artist Jim Lee, became the best-selling comic of all time, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
Christopher is the creator of a large number of mutant characters.
