Born January 1, 1972 - Canadian Comedian.
His mother, Marian, has European roots and is originally from Newfoundland. Her marriage to the actor's father, a Bengali Hindu, fell apart shortly after the birth of her son. Sean has a half-sister.
Sean Majumder began performing on stage while still at school. He has always been interested in theater, stand-up comedy, improvisation and acting.
Sean Majumder got his first job on television in the CLIPS quiz. He soon became the host of the popular children's morning show "Brain Wash", where he performed under the pseudonym Ed Brainbin. He later became the co-host of the popular TV game Uh Oh !.
In 2003, Sean Majumder joined 22 Minutes In This Hour and hosted 15 episodes of the television comedy show Just for Laughs. He also participated in the Montreal Comedy Festival.
Sean Majumder took his first steps towards fame in the United States when he guest-starred on the Fox comedy show Cedric the Entertainer Presents. The NFB filmed him in their documentary, "The Next Big Thing," about rising comedy stars from Canada.
In 2000, Sean Majumder starred in the comedy "Ladies Man", in 2002 - in the melodrama "Purpose". In 2004, Sean Majumder appeared in the hit comedy "Harold & Kumar Go Ahead" as Kumar's brother.
In 2007, Sean Majumder appeared in two episodes of the hit TV series 24 Hours as Hassan. He also played Dr. Freddie Sahgal on the Fox series Convinced Bachelor, but the show was canceled in May 2008. In April of the same year, his comedy show "Shaun's Comedy Central Presents" debuted on Comedy Central.
In 2010, Sean Majumder landed the role of Detective Vikram Mahajan in the ABC crime drama 187 Detroit. In between filming on television, he starred in the film "The Doyle Affair" .
In 2012, Sean Majumder played lawyer Andrew Palmer in the NBC drama series The Firm, where he co-stars Josh Lucas and Juliette Lewis.
