Born May 15, 1969, Wyckoff, New Jersey, USA is an American screenwriter, director and producer.
Initially had nothing to do with cinematography. After graduating from the University of Southern California (Department of Economics and Political Science) in 1991, he travels to Rome for three years, where he works as a journalist. The work consisted of writing material for one of the Italian film magazines about the production of a particular motion picture. Having gained enough experience he needed, he travels back to his family, to America, where he gets a job at the William Morris Agency, located in New York. At the same time, he is working on the script for “November Day,” which Warner Brothers has successfully bought from him. So he continues to write scripts, among which stories prevail, designed for children and adolescents. Based on one such screenplay in 2008, Kirk de Mikko is filming his own full-length animated film entitled “Monkeys in Space”. In 2013, he shoots another full-length cartoon - "The Croods Family", based on its own plot. The cartoon has earned even more positive reviews than "Monkeys in Space". Throughout his creative career in Hollywood, Kirk de Mikko has worked with many influential studios such as Warner Bros, DreamWorks and Spyglass, DIsney. He also directed and produced the film “HALO: Free Fall of Warriors” specially for the Discovery channel.
