Born 6 July 1958 - British actress, singer, screenwriter and comedian.
She attracted wide audience attention in the early 1980s when she joined the ranks of the comedy company "The Comic Strip", thanks to which she soon made her television debut. In 1987, together with her friend Don French, she became the creator and performer of the title role in the comedy television series French and Saunders, which brought her popularity outside the UK. In 1992, Saunders' second successful project, the sitcom "One More", was released on television, and subsequently broadcast until 2005.
