Born September 20, 1967 - American actress and comedian, winner of two Emmy awards .
She graduated from high school in the suburbs of Milwaukee. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Art from New York University.
Johnston began her career with off-Broadway productions in New York. Over time, she achieved moderate fame as a stage actress, performing at many venues, including the Lincoln Center. She was nominated for the prestigious Drama Desk Theater Awards in 1994, 2007, and 2010.
After several small roles in film and television, in 1996 she landed a co-star in the comedy series The Third Planet from the Sun, which earned her two Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. and nominations for the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards .
Johnston has had minor roles in several famous films throughout his career, such as Austin Powers: The Spy Who Seduced Me, Austin Powers: Goldmember, Out of Sight, Out of the Chart! and Bride Wars. She played the female lead in the disastrous 2000 film The Flintstones in Rock Vegas. On television, she has guest-starred on several series such as Sex and the City, Ambulance, Ugly, and The New Adventures of Old Christine. from 2011 to 2015, Johnston starred in the sitcom TV Land "The Forces" .
In early September 2013, Johnston became ill and was later diagnosed with lupus myelitis. As a result of the disease, Johnston suffers from muscle weakness - he has difficulty walking, especially up stairs, and wears an orthopedic collar to support his head.
