Born January 7, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. When he was nine years old, the family moved to Chicago. He served in the US Army, in the 2nd Armored Division, stationed in Germany. During his military service, he was engaged in boxing and even became a division champion. Has been acting in films since the mid-1970s. Has played roles in about 100 films and television series.
