Born October 11, 1942 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The family belonged to one of the highest castes in India. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan (pseudonym, real name - Srivastav), was a famous poet in India, and his mother, Teji Bachchan, is a famous public figure. Amitabh studied at Sherwood College, a boarding school at Nainital, and then at Kirori Mal College at the University of Delhi. Since childhood, he dreamed of a career as an artist, possessing all the data for this - a tall, handsome brunette with regular facial features and a surprisingly pleasant, velvet baritone. The latter allowed Bachchan to first work as a radio announcer. He made his film debut in 1969 in the film "Seven Indians", in which he played one of the main roles. For the next film, Love Never Dies, Bachchan was awarded the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award.
