Born July 28, 1946 - American actress.
In 1972, she moved to Los Angeles where she began appearing on television, on television series such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and MES .
Kelsey is best known for her role in the television series Lou Grant (1977-1982), spin-off The Mary Tyler Moore Show. For her role, she was nominated six times for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Television Series Drama, but never won, and three times for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress - Miniseries, Television Series, or TV movie. After the show ended, Kelsey landed the lead role in the sitcom Day by Day, which lasted only one season, and also starred in several film and television films.
Kelsey continued to be active on the screen until the mid-nineties, appearing on TV series such as Murder, She Wrote and Ambulance, and in the following years returned to Minneapolis, where she worked in the theater.
