Thanks to her American father, she has dual citizenship.
In 2011, Sigman starred in the Mexican film Miss Bullet, which received critical acclaim and was selected as a Mexican Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not shortlisted. Sigman, meanwhile, was nominated for the Irish Critics' Award for Best Breakthrough of the Year but lost to Jessica Chastain. In 2013, she starred in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer. In the same year, she starred in the pilot for the USA Network series with Brian Greenberg. After his failure, she took on a supporting role in the FX series "The Bridge" .
In 2015, Sigman starred in the Netflix series Narco. She later appeared as one of the Bond girls in 007: Specter, being only the second Mexican actress to play such a role in a long-running franchise. The first was Linda Christian in 1954. After that, she got the main female roles in the films "Undercover" and "War with All" .
In early 2016, Sigman had a supporting role in the second season of ABC's anthology, American Crime, by John Ridley. Ridley then gave her the title role in his pilot for the detective series Presence.
