Born January 25, 1954, Jerusalem, Israel - Israeli director, producer, writer, playwright, publicist and journalist.

Served in the Israel Defense Forces. Graduated from the Hebrew University, where he studied philosophy and theatrical art. He worked as a radio host for the Voice of Israel.

The first book was published in 1979. For his first novel "Smile of a Kid", about life in Judea and Samaria under Israeli rule, he received the Literary Prize of the Prime Minister of Israel. A film was also made based on the novel.

In 1986 he published the novel “See. article "Love" "about the life of Jews who survived the Holocaust.

In 1987 he published a series of documentary articles "Yellow Time" condemning the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, which resulted from the defeat of the Arabs in the Six Day War.

In 2006, Grossman's son Uri, who served in the Israeli army, died in the Second Lebanon War. In 2007, Grossman refused to shake hands with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the ceremony to present him with the EMET literary prize, since he believed he was guilty of the death of his son. Grossman himself served in the army during the Yom Kippur War, and served as a reservist in the Israeli army.
