Born February 17, 1945 - Irish actress.
Before becoming an actress, she worked as an assistant editor for the Irish newspaper The Irish Times, and wanted to become a reporter in the future, as did her parents. But then her interests changed and she became interested in theater. Brenda has worked at the Irish Theater and later at the National Theater, the Royal Shakespeare Theater and many others. She first appeared in films at the age of 19, in the film Burden of Human Passions, where she had a very small role, not even listed in the credits.
Then Brenda worked extensively on British television, where one of her most famous roles was in the TV series "Catastrophe". In 1990, Fricker won an Oscar for her performance as Mrs. Brown in the drama My Left Foot .
